Gods Garden
God looked around his garden
And found an empty place,
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest,
God’s garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb,
So he closed your weary eyelids
And whispered “Peace be thine”.It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home. -
A Million Tears
A bouquet of beautiful memories,
Sprayed with a million tears,
Wishing God could have spared you,
If just for a few more years.It does not take a special day,
For us to think of you,
Each Mass we hear, each prayer we say,
Is offered up to you.We cannot bring the old days back,
When we were all together,
The family chain is broken now,
But memories live forever.It was a sudden parting,
Too bitter to forget,
Only those who loved you,
Are the ones who will never forget. -
In Heaven Now
I am home in Heaven, dear ones:
Oh, so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this Everlasting Light.All the pain and grief are over!
Every restless yearning past;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely Home in Heaven at last.Dear one, do not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still;
Try to look beyond earth’s shadows,
Pray to trust Our Father’s Will.When your work is completed,
He will gently call you Home;
Oh! the rapture of that meeting!
Oh, the joy to see you come. -
Miss Me But Let Me Go
When I come to the end of the
road and the sun has set for me,
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room.
Why cry for a soul set free!Miss me a little, but not too long
and not with your head bowed low,
Remember the love that we once
shared, miss me but let me go.For this journey we all must take
and each must go alone,
It’s all part of the Master plan
a step on the road to home.When you are lonely and sick of heart
go to the friends we know,
and bury your sorrows in doing good deeds
Miss me, but let me go. -
Footprints in the Sand
One night I dreamed I was walking
along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.
This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life,when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow
or defeat, I could see one set of footprints.
So I said to the Lord, "You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.But I have noticed that during
the most trying periods of my life
there have only been one
set of footprints in the sand.Why, when I needed you most,
you have not been there for me?"
The Lord replied, "The times when you
have seen only one set of footprints
in the sand, is when I carried you. -
Softly in the Morning/Evening
Softly in the morning
You heard a gentle call,
You took the hand God offered you
And saw your tired face.And quietly left us all.
The day you left us,
our hearts just broke in two,
The smallest part is still with us,And the biggest part with you.
For the rest of our lives we will miss you,
Our secret tears still flow,
Oh, how we really loved you,No one will ever know.
We miss your smile, your joking ways
We miss the things, you used to say,
And when old times we do recall,It’s when we miss you most of all.
You were always there when we needed you,
No task too great or small,
With loving heart and willing hands,
For us you did it all. -

Do Not Stop At My Grave And Weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there, I do not sleep,
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow.I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn rain,
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift, uplifting rush.Of quiet birds in circled flight
I am the soft stars that shine in the night,
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there, I did not die. -
Stairway to Heaven
If tears could build a stairwell
And memories were a lane,
I would walk right up to Heaven
And bring you home again.No farewell words were spoken
No time to say good-bye,
You were gone before I knew it
And only God knows why.

The Lord is my Shepherd
The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down
in green pastures;
He leadeth me beside the still water.
He restoreth my soul;
He leadeth me in the paths
of righteousness
for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through
the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil; for thou art with me;
thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me
in the presence of mine enemies:
Thou anointest my head with oil;
My cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall
follow me all the days of my life:
And I will dwell in the house
of the Lord for ever. -
My Rosary
What comfort just to clasp it,
My Rosary so dear;
Each mystery brings fresh courage
And drives away all fear.
In prayer so oft repeated,
Yet never growing old,
I read the wondrous story,
Of God’s own love untold.
Each chaplet forms a garland,
To place at Mary’s feet;
Fair buds and full-bloom roses,
Exhaling fragrance sweet.
The Crucifix which crowns it
Reminds me day by day,
To bravely bear my crosses,
Along earth’s rugged way.
I hope when life is ended,
And death shall set me free
Still twined around my fingers,
My Rosary Beads shall be. -
A Prayer to St Francis
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I
may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are
born to eternal life. Amen. -
Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee,
blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the
hour of our death.
Amen. -
Guardian Angel
Guardian Angel from
heaven so bright,
watching beside me
to lead me aright,
fold thy wings round me,
and guard me with love,
softly sing songs to me
of heaven above.
Amen. -
Cardinal Prayer
May Christ support
us all the day long,
till the shadows lengthen,
and the evening comes,
and the busy world is hushed,
and the fever of life is over
and our work is done.
Then in His mercy may
He give us a safe lodging,
and holy rest and
peace at the last.
Amen. -
Our Father
Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done,
on earth as it is in Heaven.Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.
